Summer 2013 Junior High and Elementary School Homestay

So, all the planning had been completed, members chosen and itinerary finalized, and we were off:

On the bus heading to the Hotel

Getting ready to go to Australia

On the plane

First, we had a day and night in Singapore to get ready for our new English speaking experience:

Then after another flight we arrived in Darwin to start the Homestay:

Then the new experiences began: Cup cake making and Trampolining

The Junior High School visit was the highlight:

Plus the waterside and the shopping were just part of the fun and an important part of the communicating experience:

Then we visited the Litchfield National Park to see nature at its best:

and did some camping in the real Australian countryside:

From there a visit to an Australian Elementary School was completed:

Plus a visit to a Wildlife part to meet some Australian Animals:

As well as going to the local markets for some shopping, eating traditional foods and seeing the world`s best sunsets:

Of course, no Homestay would be complete without a Library, Museum and Botanical Gardens Visit:

Without a doubt the most unique experience was getting up close and personal with the Crocodiles:

But the swimming pool was the best place to be:

And the food was spectacular and yummy too:

However the best feeling was the heartfelt goodbyes at the end:

Absolutely a trip that should and won`t be forgotten.

See you next time in Australia!

Kindergarten Visits

Shannon's English School is available for Kindergarten visits all over the Shimabara Hanto for weekly, fortnightly and even monthly visits.  It is a great experience and opportunity to expose your children from a young age to enjoy English and interact with Teachers from another country.

We use lots of games and songs and everyday English words and phrases to help build the students English vocabulary.  We teach about other countries and try and give the students as much English education as possible.

If you would like us to come to your school and do a practise lesson please ask your Encho Sensei to invite us and we will be pleased to accept.  Your kids will not be disappointed!
